GWP Rescue Page
At Aspendel GWP, we
believe that if you breed
puppies you should also do
your best to help other
dogs of your breed who are
in need.    Too many
wonderful dogs end up in
our shelters nationwide and
by no fault of their own are
euthanized.

Of course we can't save
them all.  Only through
education and responsible
breeders and pet owners
who insist on spays and
neuters for non breeding
dogs and bitches can we
help reduce the number of
unwanted dogs in our
shelters and pounds.
This is Greta!
Greta was found wandering in
downtown Redmond, but
Humane Society personnel
suspect that she may have been
an owner surrender.
She is approximately 7 years
old, knows basic manners (sit,
down, come), appears to be an
excellent hunter with a staunch
point and is not gun shy.   She
has a  hard wire coat from her
nose to her toes.   We wish
Greta could talk!  She appears
to be the perfect
companion/house dog!  But, we
would never recommend that she
go to a home with cats,  other
small animals or children  since we
really don't know that she would
tolerate them.
She had some minor health
problems and will probably need
to be on a relatvely inexpensive
thyroid medication for the rest
of her life.

Greta had some minor dental
work done.  She had one tooth
pulled and the rest were cleaned.
 Her teeth are in wonderful
condition for a dog of her age.
Because of her level of training
in both the field and at  home,
we are asking for a minimum
donation to GWPCA Rescue
of $600.  A small price to pay
for a dog of her caliber.

Greta has so much to offer and
she has
alot of good years  to
go!
If you are interested in
adopting Greta, please contact
Bob or Sean at 541-504-9197
for an Adoption Application.
