The Pups---All of our February litter are happy and hunting! We currently have the two males that we kept, available to hunting homes--see our "Started Dogs Available," page.
Thanks Kirten and Paul for starting these pups!
The pups are nominated for both the field and the show futurities at the Nationals--although we won't get to run the Field Futurity until 09. It will be exciting to see how they fare.
We also have a wonderfully sweet GWP that we rescued in May. Greta is as good a dog as they get. Good house dog, great hunter! Can you or someone you know give this girl a forever home? See our "Rescue Page." for more info on sweet Greta.
Speaking of Hunting--Fonzie is still down in California with noted field trainers Dave and Vickie LaChance and doing very well. He is pretty close to being a "broke dog," most of the time! He is running in a trial the end of this month! YAHOO! Thank you, Dave and Vickie!
The Shows--Bob is still racking up the breed points on Rio. Rio became a BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW dog today! Rio won the GWP Specialty in Santa Rosa! Go Rio! We are looking forward to the upcoming SeaTac Specialty in September!
IWinston's litter out of the German bitch has hit the show ring and are making quite a splash! Both Frida and Otter have tons of breed type and are birdy to boot! Their owner, Eva has had them out at various hunt tests around the NW, and rumor has it that she was offered a substantial amount of money for one of them(which she OF COURSE turned down!) FLASH! This past weekend the male puppy Otter finished with a major!
Lilly, our white bitch from The Western Movie Litter, Ch Aspendel's Pale Rider JH, is still going gang busters on the Texas and Midwest circuits--at last count she had 84 group placements! Congrats to Betsy and Lilly! Not too shabby for something we pulled out of the back yard a few months back <GRIN> Watch for her web page soon!

Bob is still showing the gorgeous Swiss Mountain Dog named Klaus, and has also been adding up the group placements on him. Congrats Bonnie! He is a beautiful boy~
Bob and Sean-
Sean is still working on two websites--one, for a great friend and client who has German Shorthaired Pointers and another, for an Oregon dog club. Neither is completed, but both are currently up and running....She has also been working on a new logo for the Willamette Valley Toy Club....stay tuned....
Six months ago, Sean decided to start being creative again. As a young adult, she painted and drew and even sold several commissioned art pieces before she had turned 18. But, she really has not picked up a brush or pencil for quite a few years. Life went on, she showed and bred her horses, had her daughter, went to college and got her BA in Criminology, and even suffered the destruction of most of her personal works in the early 90's. Needless to say, art went by the wayside. So, when Ashley left home last year, she decided to try her hand at art again, including our annual Christmas card last December. In the near future, we'll post some of her works on a new page.
Bob was recently made the Western Director of the GWPCA, and has also been helping the SeaTac Club get back on its feet again.
Bob has also been his typical "Road Warrior" self--keeping busy with travelling the Northwest, despite all these incredible gas prices. Most of our clients have figured out that it is cheaper to send their dog and share the expenses with the other dogs in the truck, than to try to afford the entire trip themselves.
The Future--We are still hoping to move over to the valley to be closer to most of our clients and the lion's share of shows which are in the area. Although the recent road projects are mostly finished and major traffic has been restored to our street, we are still waiting to sell. Unfortunately, despite a really large price reduction (Tapping foot with impatience!) we are still on the market. In addition to being closer to our clients, we are hoping to start an Equine Boarding and Training facility over there. Sean has really missed the competition with her horses and would also like to be closer to all of the other types and venues of horse competition in that area for her photography and art. We have taken quite a few trips to look at property and a new show horse for Sean. Stay tuned!
We have looked at several parcels over there that are between 30- 60 + acres that would also be fabulous for running hunt tests and training the Wires.
MBKC Show-~The annual Perry BBQ was a smash! Despite the over 100 degree temps everyone had a great time! Sean has again earned her title of "Martha," from our clients!!
Winter trip to Mexico--Our dear friend Betsy has agreed to travel with us, which would be a blast! The bad news, if our house sells we really won't be able to travel, what with setting up a new business and moving. Stay Tuned!
